The Reason for the Silence

The shed is almost lined!!!! It should be finished this weekend (fingers crossed)- and maybe I will be working in there next week. I do hope so because I am starting to get panic attacks about my exhibition. Not much done this week- school holidays here, school formal dress time ( oh where did I leave those dress making skills???)- I have ben taxi service, painter you name it - but not artist!

Looks like it is going to be a great space in which to work. Lucky you! Sue McB

What a great space Dijanne. I always panic - write a list, get organised and start to enjoy! It works out in the end. Good luck with everything.

BTW - you commented on my blog about Open Studios: 'why don't they organise something like that around here?' - our 'Open Stdios' was started by 7 artists 31 years ago. Now there are about 300 members and we employ an administrator and rent an office, but basically it's the same The Artists are still in charge and we all have to do some sort of admin/organising/practical task every year (or we get chucked out!). You've now got the space - celebrate with an Open Studio this Christmas!

Looking good! It's so nice to see progress on this space. It's understandable that you'd need down-time to make all this happen, but like Celia said, with a list and some organization you will hit the ground running once the shed is ready for you!

Hi! Dijanne,

Hooray! for you. Your doing a great job on your shed imagine the thrill of walking in to work that first day next week, you have great courage in making things happen for yourself with your own energy and I know that's not always easy.
